Julia Domna, wife of Septimius Severus (died 217 AD). AE Sestertius, struck under Caracalla (211-215 AD). Obv. IVLIA PIA FELIX AVG. Diademed and draped bust right. Rev. IVNONEM. Juno standing left, holding sceptre and patera; at feet, peacock. RIC IV (Carac.) 585a; C. 90. AE. 28.72 g. 34.00 mm. Scarce. A very attractive example, struck on a broad flan. Wonderful expressive portrait. Deep olive green patina, with lighter hues, somewhat smoothed on reverse. Good VF/VF.
