Diva Faustina I (after 141 AD). AE Sestertius, c. 146-161 AD. Obv. DIVA FAVSTINA. Draped bust right, hair coiled and bound on top of the head with double bands of pearls; border of dots. Rev. AVGVSTA SC. Veiled Vesta standing left, leaning with right hand on long flaming torch and holding palladium in left hand; border of dots. RIC III (Ant. Pius) 1125; C. 113. AE. 27.09 g. 32.00 mm. A superb example, struck on a medallic flan, from masterly engraved dies. Lovely green brown patina. Slightly rough obverse surfaces, otherwise good VF/About EF.
