Corbin, Paris. ✶ NEC ✶ PLVRIBVS ✶ IMPAR ✶, Radiant solar mask, emblem and motto of Louis XIV, its rays crossing the field; to the right, the front of the Château de Versailles in perspective; in the left foreground, a laurel-crowned river-goddes reclining against a rock, a dolphin at his feet, with a putto blowing into a seashell, an allegory of the waters of the royal domain. Rev. LA VILLE DE - VERSAILLES, Arms of the city, azure three fleurs-de-lis or, a chief argent charged with a double-headed cock issuant proper, the shield ensigned with a mural crown of three towers alternating with fleurs-de-lis.
