Lot # 115 - Sicily. Leontini. AR Tetradrachm, c. 430-425 BC. Obv. Laureate head of Apollo left. Rev. LEONTINON. Lion's head left, with open jaws and protruding tongue; around, three barley grains and, behind the head, a laurel leaf. SNG ANS 257 (same dies); HGC 2 671; Boehringer, Münzgeschichte 55 (same dies); Rizzo pl. XXIV, 4 (same dies). AR. 17.69 g. 25.5 mm. Superb style, nicely centred and struck. Small die-break. Good VF.

Lot # 116 - Sicily. Morgantina. AE Half Unit. Punic occupation, c. 214-211 BC. Obv. Veiled and wreathed head of Demeter right. Rev. Horse galloping right; wreath above, Punic Ḥ below. HGC 2 176 (Akragas); CNS III 2; CNP 133. AE. 4.47 g. 19 mm. RR. Very rare, nice green patina. Rough surfaces. Green-brown patina. VF.

Lot # 118 - Sicily. Motya. AR Litra, c. 425-410 BC. Obv. Eagle standing left on Ionic capital; ethnic around. Rev. Dolphin swimming left; scallop shell below. HGC 2 933 var. (no ethnic on obv.); Campana -; SNG Lockett 789 (Hipana) var. (same). AR. 0.67 g. 12 mm. RRR. Extremely rare, few specimens known. Rough surfaces. VF.

Lot # 119 - Sicily. Motya. AR Litra, 415-405 BC. Obv. Diademed head of nymph right; two dolphins swimming around. Rev. MOTVAI[ON] (retrograde). Poseidon seated right on rocks, holding trident and dolphin. HGC 2 1039 (Panormos); Cf. Jenkins pl. 24, 3 (Panormos). AR. 0.56 g. 11 mm. RRR. Extremely rare litra traditionally assigned to Panormos. Instead the clear reverse legend on this specimen suggests identifying the mint as Motya. Good VF.

Lot # 120 - Sicily. Nakona. AE 13mm, late 5th cent. BC. Imitative issue. Obv. Female head right. Rev. Sheep standing right; barley-grain before. Cf. HGC 2 963 (for prototype); Cf. CNS I 6 (same). AE. 1.28 g. 13 mm. RR. Coarse style. Interesting contemporary imitation. VF/Good VF.
