

Divus Carus (died 283 AD.). AE Tetradrachm, Alexandria mint (Egypt). Dated RY 2 or 3 of Carinus (AD 283/5). Obv. ΘЄω KAPω CЄB. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. AΦIЄPωCIC. Eagle standing left, head right, with wings displayed, wreath in beak. Dattari 10621; Emmett 3998. 8.13 g. 19.5 mm. R. Brown patina with green deposits and brassy highlights. Good VF.
