A man and two boys greet the king's arrival; in the background, an exuberant crowd in front of the trees and palace on the right; in exergue, 24 SEPT. 1862. BDM III, 90. 88 g. 60.5 mm. Opus: Adolphe Jouvenel. Some scratches on obverse, otherwise. about EF. The medal commemorates the king's return to the capital after a serious illness.
