Philip II (244-249). AE Sestertius, Rome mint, 246-249. Obv. IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. LIBERALITAS AVGG III S C. Philip the Arab and Philip II, seated left, on curule chairs, extending right hands; Philip the Arab, nearer spectator, holds short sceptre in left hand. RIC IV (Phil. I) 267a. 14.39 g. 29.5 mm. Slightly rough surfaces. Attractive green patina with reddish spots. Good VF.
