D N MAGNEN-TIVS P F AVG, bareheaded, draped and cuirassed bust of Magnentius right / SALVS DD NN AVG ET CAES, large Christogram; A-omega across fields; AMB in exergue. RIC VIII 34. Rare, especially in this exceptional state of preservation. Wonderfully detailed and well centred on a huge, broad and weighty flan, with deep brown-green patina and excellent eye appeal. Light pitting on the obverse, otherwise an amazing coin that appears to be among the finest known examples of the type.
