USA Connecticut - Mezzo Penny (1787) - CU (g 9,60) Bel ritratto che determina certamente la rarità della moneta. Esistono numerose combinazioni di conii per questa emissione. Tuttavia, l'impostazione grafica rimase costante, poiché tutti gli esemplari imitavano il mezzo penny britannico. Il dritto mostra il busto laureato di un uomo, rivolto a sinistra (sul modello di Giorgio II) o a destra (come Giorgio III), raffigurato con un'armatura a maglia o drappeggiato con una toga. La legenda riporta diverse abbreviazioni latine della frase "Per l'autorità del Connecticut". Il rovescio raffigura la Libertà seduta, in uno stile che ricorda molto la Britannia, accompagnata da una legenda abbreviata del motto "Indipendenza e Libertà". MB-qBB

USA Connecticut Half Penny (1787) - CU (g 9,60) A beautiful portrait that certainly contributes to the coin's rarity. Numerous die combinations exist for this issue. However, the graphic layout remained constant, as all examples imitated the British halfpenny. The obverse shows the laureate bust of a man, facing left (after George II) Or right (after George III), depicted in chain mail or draped in a toga. The legend contains various Latin abbreviations of the phrase ""By the authority of Connecticut."" The reverse features a seated Liberty, in a style very reminiscent of Britain, accompanied by an abbreviated legend of the motto ""Independence and Liberty."" MB-qBB
