ANNVS GRATIAE / MCMLXXXVIII, at left the façade of St Peter's in the Vatican, at right that of the basilica of Maria Ausiliatrice at Valdocco in Turin; in the foreground, the papal arms at left and, at right, the Salesian arms in a cartouche within a wreath of laurel and palm, with Saint Francis de Sales holding an anchor, a flaming heart and a comet star; the two shields are joined by ribbons inscribed TOTVS TVVS and DA MIHI ANIMAS CETERA TOLLE. Even brown patina, relief fully intact; in the original blue leather case, clasp damaged and the satin lining of the inner lid detached along one side. Mint state. Bronze.
