Lucilla, wife of Lucius Verus (died 183 AD). Sestertius, 164-169 AD. D/ LVCILLAE AVG ANTONINI AVG F. Bust of Lucilla, hair waved and fastened in a low chignon at back of head, draped, right. R/ PIETAS S C. Pietas, veiled, draped, standing left, dropping incense from right hand on lighted altar left and holding box in left hand. RIC III 1756. AE. 28.82 g. 33.5 mm. A spectacular specimen, with tooled details and retouched patina. Good VF.
