Conio del rovescio di denario «EID MAR».

Reverse die (punch) for «EID MAR» denarius. Obv. An iron cylinder, diameter 17-19mm., height 118 mm., enclosing a reverse punch of Brutus' denarius. Cr. 508/3: Cap of Liberty between two daggers, EID MAR below; all within dotted border. FE. g. 159.20 RRRR. Considerable oxidation, otherwise VF. Extremely interesting. An ancient forger's die (?).

Conio del rovescio di denario «EID MAR». D/ Cilindro di ferro del diametro di 17-19mm., lungo 118 mm, che reca ad una estremità un conio di rovescio del denario di Bruto Cr. 508/3: Cappello della Libertà tra due pugnali. Sotto, EID.MAR. Tutto entro cerchio perlinato. FE. g. 159.20 RRRR. Marcata ossidazione, altrimenti BB. Estremamente interessante. Falso antico (?).
