Thanks to his good looks, sanguine character, and physical courage, he was admired by the Neapolitans. During his short reign, Murat founded and initiated major public works. This plaquette, and another very similar one representing Carolina Bonaparte, the wife of Gioacchino Murat, were commissioned in honor of their appointment as the royal couple ruling Naples and Sicily. - France.
