Otho is also remembered for having been the husband of Poppaea Sabina in 58 AD, who in 62 AD became Nero's first wife. This very rare obol is the coin of minimal module minted by Otho in Alexandria and despite some slight imperfections in the beating, the engraving must be considered of a well-finished style, especially in the portrait on the obverse which denotes a physiognomic research.
