Egypt. Alexandria. Trajan AD 98-117. Tetradrachm. (Billon, 25.09 mm, 12.31 g). Regnal Year 20 = 116/7. AVT TPAIAN API CEB ΓЄΡΜ ΔAKIK ΠAP Radiate head of Trajan right, aegis on left shoulder and a star in the right field. Rev. Dikaiosyne (Roman Aequitas) standing facing left, holding scales and cornucopia; in field, date, LK. RPCIII 4916. Emmett 372 var. (aegis?). Light patina. Good Very Fine. Valuable and rare tetradrachm of Trajan with radiated bust on obverse whereas on reverse Dikaiosyne, wearing chiton and peplos, dominates. She is the Justice, morality and fairness goddess symbolized by the scales she is holding in her right hand but she also portrays a deity promoter of a balanced welfare as suggested by the cornucopia she is holding in her left arm.
