Commentary by GMS: This tetradrachm belongs to the very vast and different series of Alexandrian issues of 271 – beginning of Aurelianus with Vaballathus, when the emperor was still on the same wavelength as Zenobia, cunning and ambitious, quivering with desire to legitimate herself at the management top of the roman state, through the super ennobled and overexcited son Vaballathus. A coin well minted, and fine patina with precise and careful portraits.
