A gilt and enamel Steward’s jewel issued for the 1966 Royal Masonic Institution for Boys Festival, the blue enamel bar inscribed STEWARD suspending a pale blue ribbed ribbon, applied with a gilt compasses badge bearing a blue shield decorated with six birds. Below hangs a gilt and enamel medallion with laurel wreath border, surmounted by an eagle, framing the RMIB arms of three hands above a lion, and inscribed ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOR BOYS – 1966.
Reverse stamped J.R. GAUNT, LONDON, with original pin-back fitting.
Condition: Very fine; enamel bright and undamaged, ribbon lightly toned from age, gilt surfaces clean. A well-preserved example of the mid-century RMIB festival jewel.
