The circular gilt badge displays the heraldic shield of the Institution—three open hands above a lion—set within a laurel wreath and surmounted by an eagle. The surrounding blue enamel legend reads ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOR BOYS · 1966.
Suspended from the original pale-blue ribbon with a blue enamel STEWARD bar and an inset gilt and enamel provincial emblem of Sussex (six martlets).
Reverse stamped J.R. GAUNT LONDON.
Condition: Very fine; enamel intact; slight wear to gilt; ribbon lightly aged.
