Sicily. Panormos (as Ziz). Siculo-Punic Coinage, circa 405-380 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23.39 mm, 17.15 g). 'SYS' (in Punic) Charioteer driving quadriga galloping left, holding kentron and reins; above, Nike flying right, crowning him. Rev. Female head of nymph right, with her hair bound with a broad band; around, four dolphins. Jenkins, SNR 50 (1971), pl. 8, 12 (O3/R11, this coin illustrated). SNG Lloyd 1581 (same dies). Struck on a somewhat irregular flan and with the usual die break on the reverse. Extremely Fine. Rare.
