PHRYGIAN BRONZE FIBULA
8th–5th century BC.
Cast bronze bow fibula with a strongly arched and profiled bow, decorated with molded collars and ribbed elements. The bilateral spring and catchplate are preserved, while the pin is now missing. The compact proportions and plastic articulation of the bow are characteristic of Phrygian and Anatolian fibula types of the early Iron Age.
The surface shows a dark patina with minor encrustations.
