HELLENISTIC TERRACOTTA HEAD
Late Hellenistic or Ptolemaic Period, 3rd–1st century BC.
Small terracotta head representing a male figure, modeled with expressive features, including pronounced brows and a slightly asymmetrical, animated facial expression. The stylization and lively characterization suggest a popular or theatrical subject, possibly related to mime or genre figures common in Hellenistic coroplastic production.
The reverse is plain and unfinished. The surface shows minor wear and encrustations.
Mounted on a modern wooden display base, included (41 × 40 × 42 mm).
Dimensions: 33 × 41 × 38 mm.
