LEAD SLINGSHOT BULLETS (GLANDES) Greek, Hellenistic Period. Lot of three (3) lead slingshot bullets (glandes), each of characteristic biconical or almond-shaped form, designed for aerodynamic efficiency in flight. Such projectiles were widely used by ancient light infantry, particularly slingers, in both warfare and hunting. The surfaces show typical wear and patination; no visible inscriptions

Lot of three (3) lead slingshot bullets (glandes), each of characteristic biconical or almond-shaped form, designed for aerodynamic efficiency in flight. Such projectiles were widely used by ancient light infantry, particularly slingers, in both warfare and hunting.
