ROMAN BRONZE PELTA-SHAPED MOUNT
Roman Empire, circa 1st–3rd century AD.

Cast bronze mount in the form of a pelta (crescent-shaped shield), with upturned terminals and a central ridge. The thin construction and form suggest use as a decorative applique, likely attached to leather or wood, possibly as part of a belt or harness fitting.

The surface shows a green patina with minor wear.

Mounted on a modern display stand, included.
