Lot # 972
Late Roman period. Bronze end part of 'cingula' (part of the military dress), specifically this element was used to adjust the fall of the end of the leather strip.
60x25 mm.
The chronology insists on the Late Antique age, rich in innovations due mainly to the presence of people of Germanic origin, without, however, having any further implications : it is a real proper koiné of materials and styles, devoid of prejudice regarding the ethnic origin of the users.
