Rare bronze diobol of Vespasian of large size and excellent preservation. An exceptional feature is the inverted minting, i.e. the reverse on the anvil die and the obverse on the hammer die. Peaceful and calm the portrait of the emperor on the obverse and solemn the bust of Serapis on the reverse, engravings enhanced by a brilliant uniform original brown patina.
