What stands out in this superbly preserved Hadrianic drachm is the sculptural engraving of the imposing imperial bust on the obverse, executed in a severe style with careful iconographic detail. This is further emphasized by the evenly distributed original dark brown patina, which also highlights the full sculptural quality of the proud imperial eagle depicted on the reverse.
