Another tetradrachm of Severus Alexander of exquisite style and exceptional preservation where the imperial portrait highlights the firm character of the sovereign aware of the dignity and authority of the function he held. And also sensitive to the protective presence exercised over him, in addition to his mother Julia Mamaea always at his side, the noble and powerful image of the divine Athena Parthenos who appears on the reverse helmeted and armoured in an engraving by a great master of the classical tradition.
