Uncommon tetradrachm of Julia Mamaea, struck on a broad flan that comfortably accommodates both the engraved figures and the complex obverse legend in their entirety. On the reverse, a cuirassed Severus Alexander on horseback triumphantly celebrates the decennalia of his reign, as confirmed by the coin’s date, and responds to the imperial salutation with the grateful gesture of his raised right arm.
