An unknown type from a very rare year (he actually died in late August, in his seventh Alexandrian year).” A coin of extreme rarity, recorded only by Emmett with the highest valuation: it is perhaps the only known specimen for this year of Probus' issues, which is reduced to a single month between August and September AD 282 since Probus was the victim of a military revolt in Sirmio precisely in September of that year. Also noteworthy is the exceptional thickness of the coin, practically a piedfort.
