Extremely rare
The Via Traiana, also known as the Appia Traiana, was built by the emperor between 108 and 110 AD as an alternative to the via Appia Antica, and connected Beneventum, through the Arch of Trajan, to Brundisium. It turned out to be more convenient than the Appia Antica because it was cleared of snow and mud even in the winter months, and it was used throughout the Middle Age.
