Octavianus. AR Denarius, unknown mint in Gallia Cisalpina and Italy, 43 BC. Obv. Bearded head of Octavianus right; around, C·CAESAR·III·VIR·R·P·C. Rev. Equestrian statue right; in exergue, S·C. RRSC D274.2; Cr. 490/3; B. (Julia) 65. AR. 3.93 g. 16.5 mm. RRRR. Of the highest rarity, very few specimens known and probably the most complete. Pleasant, untouched tone. Minor marks. Good VF.
