Phalanthos, nude, holding hippocamp in extended right hand and cradling trident in left arm, riding dolphin left; to right, head of Silenos left above monogram; T-APAΣ below. SNG Lloyd 225; HN Italy 1054; Vlasto 941 (same dies); SNG ANS 1246. 6.5 g. 20 mm. RRR. Extremely rare issue from masterly engraved dies, with an unusual horseman retrospective posture. Vlasto records only two specimens for this type. About FDC.
