A striking and unusually extensive Primrose League badge group, built up with multiple year clasps for Special Service and Delegate duties spanning the Edwardian period through the immediate post–WWI years. The piece is dominated by a tall stack of enamel bars, including SPECIAL SERVICE 1909, SPECIAL SERVICE 1910 (crowned top bar with primrose sprays), SPECIAL SERVICE 1911, P DELEGATE 1912, SPECIAL SERVICE 1919, SPECIAL SERVICE 1920, P DELEGATE 1920, and an additional bar present behind/within the stack (partially obscured in the image, likely a later year). Suspended below is the Primrose League badge device: a gilt quatrefoil/lozenge form with rich maroon enamel panels and a prominent primrose flower at centre. At the base is the League motto scroll: IMPERIUM ET LIBERTAY (“Empire and Liberty”).
