A fine sterling silver and enamel Steward’s Jewel for the 1929 Festival of the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys, suspended from a pale blue ribbed ribbon below a gilt and enamel crown. The circular medal features the Institution’s heraldic device: a crenellated wall and sword before wavy blue and white bars, all within a rich blue enamel border inscribed ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOR BOYS and dated STEWARD · 1929.
The reverse shows full London silver hallmarks and the maker’s mark, with original double-screw fixing and suspension ring.
Condition: Very fine; enamel crisp and undamaged, gilding with light age toning, ribbon gently worn but original. A handsome early festival jewel in sterling silver.
