A substantial and attractive RAOB GLE PRIMO jewel awarded to a member of King George V LCE 398, featuring bold enamelling and the classic Buffaloes eight-pointed star.
Suspended from a deep crimson riband, the jewel carries the upper enamelled bar PRIMO with silver floral cresting, and a finely cast lower bar naming the lodge:

The medallion presents the multicoloured PRIMO star with surrounding blue scrolls bearing the motto:
NEMO MORTALIUM OMNIBUS HORIS SAPIT
The reverse retains the original fixing plate and screws, with full maker’s stamp J. SIMPSON LONDON, and an engraved presentation dedication around the border (partially obscured by an old inventory label).
Condition: Very Fine. Ribbon complete with mild wear; enamels bright and stable; silvered finish toned attractively; reverse clean with legible inscription and maker’s details. A strong, early example from a named lodge.
