A fine and early sterling silver and enamel steward jewel issued by the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls for the year 1936. The oval gilt and enamel frame encloses the white enamel cross and central crowned RMIG crest, with VICTORIA in red and gold. The surrounding blue-and-white legend reads ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOR GIRLS · 1936. Suspended from an original white ribbon with blue enamel STEWARD bar and a decorative gold knot appliqué.
Reverse struck with the maker’s mark BLADON LONDON and full London sterling silver hallmarks corresponding to 1936.
Condition: Very fine; enamel complete and bright; minor wear to gilding and soiling to ribbon; original suspension intact.
A desirable pre-war RMIG jewel from a respected London maker.
