Presented Jewel to Bro. W. H. A. Methab (88.57 x 136.91mm, 80.96 g). Presented jewel, silver, formed as a large hinged square and compasses frame, richly engraved with floral and symbolic decoration, suspending a central articulated rectangular panel with frosted and polished Masonic emblematic detailing, the whole suspended from a circular ring. The obverse finely engraved with dense floral ornament, symbolic emblems, and a central articulated drop panel framed with repeating geometric border motifs, displaying stylised Masonic symbolism in frosted silver relief. The reverse engraved “Presented to Bro. W. H. A. Methab” and “Worshipful Brethren of Llandudno Lodge 157, Jany 1948”, with maker’s mark Spencer, London, together with hallmarks, retaining its original suspension and fittings. A substantial and finely executed Masonic presentation jewel of high quality workmanship, clearly inscribed and retaining its original components, representing an important personal presentation piece. Condition: Very good, with light surface wear and patina consistent with age; engraving crisp and legible. Date: Circa late 1940s.
