Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution Steward’s badge, gilt and enamel, suspended from its original deep burgundy ribbed silk ribbon, with gilt and enamelled crown-topped steward’s bar.
The obverse with an enamelled gilt “STEWARD” top bar beneath a crowned suspension, above the circular badge centred with a gilt cross enclosing the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution arms, within a blue enamelled ring inscribed “Benevolent Institution”, the date “1949” displayed on a white enamel tablet below. The reverse plain gilt, retaining its original long pin fitting, stamped “Spencer London” to the lower reverse.
A well-preserved example of a post-war Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution steward’s badge, retaining strong enamel colours and its original ribbon.
Condition: Very good, with light surface wear and patina; enamels well preserved; ribbon intact with minor age wear.
