The jewel is suspended from its original STEWARD 1952 bar in white and blue enamel, with the provincial scroll beneath. The medallion features a bold gilt lion crest above a finely detailed quartered shield in rich champlevé enamel, surrounded by the institution title: ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOR BOYS and the lodge/committee name: KODES LAADON-I (As a period designation, this appears to reference a lodge or festival committee associated with the 1952 appeal.) The reverse is plain gilt with clear maker’s stamp: SPENCER LONDON Condition: Very Fine.
