A handsome and substantial Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes – Grand Council Jewel, issued to a member of Hexalpha Lodge No. 1716. The top suspension bar is decorated with a buffalo-horn motif and engraved with the lodge name. The long green ribbon is embroidered in gold thread with:

Suspended below is a finely executed medallion featuring a gilt kangaroo on a shield (the emblem used by many Australasian RAOB jurisdictions), framed in deep blue enamel with the title:

Along the lower edge are clear London silver hallmarks, together with the maker’s mark J. Simpson, confirming quality manufacture.
Condition: Very Fine. Enamel vivid and intact; gilt elements bright with mild age toning; ribbon original and clean with minimal wear; reverse inscription well-preserved; hallmarks sharp.
