Brighton Military Lodge No. 4234 jewel, gilt and enamel, suspended from its original vertically ribbed blue silk ribbon with ornate gilt scroll bars inscribed “BRIGHTON MILITARY” and “LODGE No. 4234”. The obverse featuring a radiating gilt starburst enclosing a circular blue enamel centre bearing a Masonic cipher and motto. The reverse engraved “Bro. H. R. Bastin, R.D.H., Stanley Lodge 4234, 13th Dec. 1956”, with maker’s mark “L. Simpson (London) Ltd.” below, fitted with its original long pin fastening. A well-made mid-20th century Masonic jewel, notable for its military lodge designation, clear presentation inscription, and strong original enamel work. Condition: Very good, with light surface wear and patina consistent with age; enamels intact; ribbon well preserved. Date: 13 December 1956.
