Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution (R.M.B.I.) Steward’s Jewel, 1968, by G. Kenning & Spencer Ltd., London (41.32 x 26.33 mm, 20.33 g). A gilt and enamel Steward’s jewel for the 1968 Festival of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution, the upper scroll-form bar enamelled R.M.B.I. – STEWARD – 1968, suspended by a gilt ring to an ornate heraldic medallion. The lower jewel features a classical bust above a shield bearing two red hands, framed by acanthus ornament and enamel scrolls reading LOYAL AU MORT above and MANIBUS VICTORIA DEXTRIS below. Reverse impressed with the maker’s mark G. KENNING & SPENCER LTD., LONDON, retaining its original pin and loop fittings. Condition: Very fine; light surface wear to gilding, enamel panels clean and intact, fittings sound. An unusual and attractive RM.B.I. festival jewel.
