A gilt and enamel Steward’s jewel issued for the 1979 Festival of the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys under the Province of Wiltshire. The red enamel bar inscribed STEWARD suspends a pale blue ribbed ribbon, below which hangs a gilt and enamel medallion showing two winged figures flanking the Ark of the Covenant, with surrounding legend THE PROVINCIAL GRAND LODGE OF WILTSHIRE – R.M.I.B., and date 1979 in a lower scroll. Reverse plain, with original pin-back suspension.
Condition: Very fine; ribbon lightly toned, enamel clean and bright, gilding with minor age wear. A good example of a late 20th-century RMIB festival jewel.
