Sicily. Segesta. Circa 400-390 BC. Hexas (Bronze, 17.65 mm, 5.88 g). Head of nymph Aigeste right, hair bound in sphendone; border of dots. Rev. EΓEΣTA – ION (partially visible), Hound advancing right; above and below, two pellets (mark of value); below the wavy exergue line, weasel left. Hurter pl. 29, 17 = Rizzo pl. LXII, 5 (same dies). Bérend Group D, pl. X, 43 = Calciati CNS I, 301, 39 = McClean 2566 (same dies). HGC 2, 1189 (same dies). Dark green patina. Good Very Fine. Rare.
