Bruttium. Kroton. Circa 480-430 BC. Stater (Silver, 20.35 mm, 7.45 g). Dumpy incuse. ϘP (retrograde), Tripod with three ring handles, legs ending in lion's feet and two volutes below bowl, on exergual line of dots between two parallel lines; in right field, crab; border of dots within two concentric linear circles? Rev. ϘP (retrograde), Same type as the obverse but incuse and without volutes; ethnic, the three ring handles and the dolphin in left field are raised; incuse border around. Cf. HN Italy 2100. P.
