Bruttium. Kroton. Circa 480-430 BC. Stater (Silver, 21.70 mm, 7.96 g). Dumpy incuse. ϘPO, Tripod with three ring handles, legs ending in lion's feet and with two volutes below bowl, on exergual line of dots between two parallel lines; in right field, heron standing left; border of dots within two concentric linear circles. Rev. Same type as the obverse but incuse and without legend and heron; the three ring handles and two volutes below bowl are raised; rayed border. Cf. HN Italy 2102. P.
