Sicily. Lilybaion (as Cape of Melqart). Siculo-Punic Coinage, circa 330-305 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26.13 mm, 17.26 g). Charioteer driving quadriga galloping right, holding kentron and reins; above, Nike flying left, crowning him; in exergue, RŠMLQRT ("Raš Melqart" in Punic); border of dots. Rev. Wreathed female head (Tanit-Arethusa) right, wearing triple pendant earring and necklace; four dolphins swimming around; border of dots. Jenkins, SNR 50 (1971), pl. 18, 46 (O16/R35, same dies).
