Sicily. Lilybaion (as Cape of Melqart). Siculo-Punic Coinage, circa 330-305 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25.29 mm, 16.75 g). Charioteer driving quadriga galloping right with rearing horses, holding reins in her hand; above, Nike flying left gives wreath to the charioteer; in exergue, RŠMLQRT ("Raš Melqart" in Punic). Rev. Female head (Tanit-Arethusa) right, hair bound in ampyx and sphendone, wearing triple pendant earring and necklace; around, three dolphins.
