Mars, helmeted, naked except for cloak floating behind him, advancing left, holding spear in right hand and aquila with vexillum in left. RIC I (2nd ed.) 40 var. (SC across reverse field); C. 25 var. (fr. 15). 13.22 g. 28 mm. RR. Very rare variety. An outstanding example, with a wonderful Spanish-style portrait. Superb deep olive-green patina.
