Gordian III (238-244). AE Sestertius, Rome mint, 240 AD. D/ IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. R/ CONCORDIA AVG SC. Concordia seated left, holding patera and double cornucopiae. RIC IV 268; C. 51. AE. 24.06 g. 33 mm. A choice example with appealing brown patina. Traces of die swift on reverse. Large medallic flan. Good EF/EF.
